Product Designer
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

  • Location: Toronto, Ontario
  • Type: Temporary - Contractor
  • Job #18448

Product Designer

Rate: $50–$60/hour
Contract Length: 3+ months (with potential to extend)
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time contract

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an intermediate-level Product Designer to join a small, focused product team building a B2B SaaS content planning tool used by marketing teams to plan and manage their content calendars (social posts, blog content, web updates, and more).

This designer will be the sole designer on the content planner product, working closely with a Product Manager and a team of developers. While the product is not brand new, it’s still early-stage, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping and evolving a product without starting entirely from zero.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Designing features for a content planning and calendar-based tool used by marketing clients

  • Owning UI and interaction design across the product, with room to influence UX patterns and workflows

  • Iterating on an existing design system, helping refine and extend it as the product evolves

  • Collaborating closely with:

    • 1 Product Manager

    • 4 Developers

    • You, as the dedicated Product Designer

  • Working in 2-week sprints, including:

    • Problem definition and requirement gathering

    • Early ideation and solution exploration

    • High-fidelity design execution in Figma

    • Supporting development through delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Intermediate-level Product Designer with strong UI skills

  • Experience designing B2B SaaS products

  • High proficiency in Figma

  • Solid design thinking skills — able to understand problems, think through workflows, and propose thoughtful solutions

  • Comfortable working independently as the sole designer, while collaborating closely with product and engineering

  • Organized, communicative, and confident owning design decisions

  • Able to move quickly while maintaining a high bar for usability and clarity

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with calendar-based or planning tools

  • Familiarity working in agile or sprint-based product teams

  • Comfort iterating on existing design systems rather than building from scratch

Why This Role

  • Real ownership without being isolated

  • A collaborative, well-balanced product team

  • Opportunity to meaningfully shape a growing SaaS product

  • Fully remote, contract flexibility, and competitive hourly rate

Interested?

If you’re a thoughtful, UI-focused product designer who enjoys owning features, collaborating closely with product and engineering, and improving a growing SaaS product, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and a portfolio highlighting relevant B2B SaaS or product design work.
