Role: Canva Workshop Leader (Contract – 1 Day + Follow-Up Support)
Location: Scarborough, ON (on-site)
Rate: $80–$100/hour

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a hands-on, installation-focused business looking to elevate its social presence through more engaging, visually compelling content. With strong competition from larger, creatively resourced players, this team is ready to level up how they use Canva, especially when it comes to video and motion.

They’re seeking a Canva expert to lead an interactive, practical workshop that builds confidence, creativity, and real-world skills across their team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a 1-day, on-site Canva workshop at the Scarborough plant
  • Deliver hands-on training tailored to a team with mixed experience levels
  • Teach Canva fundamentals for beginners, including layout, design basics, and content creation
  • Guide more experienced users on advanced features, with a focus on video, motion, and social-first content
  • Create practical exercises (e.g., “build this post,” “edit this video,” “optimize this asset”) to reinforce learning
  • Share best practices for social engagement through visual storytelling
  • Provide simple frameworks/templates the team can continue using post-session
  • Offer 1 week of follow-up support (async Q&A or office hours) to answer questions and reinforce adoption

What You Bring

  • Proven experience teaching or leading Canva workshops or training sessions
  • Strong understanding of Canva for both static and video content creation
  • Ability to simplify design concepts for non-creative or beginner users
  • Experience creating engaging social content (especially for brands with niche audiences)
  • Confident, engaging facilitator who can keep sessions interactive and practical
  • Bonus: Background in content creation, social media strategy, or creative production
