Position Overview: 

We’re seeking an Environment Artist with experience in Unreal Engine for our agency client. You will play a crucial role, in a 3-4 week sprint, shaping the visual quality and atmosphere of their virtual environments. You will work closely with their art and design teams to create captivating and immersive worlds that engage their audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design, and create visually appealing and highly detailed 3D environments using Unreal Engine.
  •  Model, texture, and optimize 3D assets, including terrain, props, and structures, ensuring they meet technical and artistic requirements.
  • Set up lighting and atmospheric effects to create mood, ambiance, and realism within the game world.
  • Work closely with the art and design teams to ensure that environments align with the game’s overall vision and gameplay requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Environment Artist with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop).
  • Strong understanding of lighting, shading, and material workflows within Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with level design principles.
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet project deadlines.
