Account Director (Retail Client)
Contract | Hybrid – 3 days/week downtown Toronto 

We’re partnering with a creative agency to find a confident and experienced Senior Account Manager to lead a major retail client relationship at the national level. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned agency professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, builds immediate trust with senior stakeholders, and can steer complex creative campaigns from concept to execution.

About the Role:

You’ll take the lead on one of the agency’s most high-profile national accounts, maintaining trust, streamlining delivery, and elevating strategic conversations at the top level.

You’ll be the key point of contact for the national client team and provide leadership, mentoring, and hands-on support across a wide variety of creative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow a trusted client relationship on a national scale

  • Lead weekly client touchpoints and sprint-style meetings with AOR partners

  • Translate briefs into clear direction for internal teams across creative, production, and project management

  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery by keeping all moving parts aligned

  • Present decks, updates, and strategies to the client with clarity and authority

  • Be the go-to person when things get hectic — calm under pressure, unshakably organized

  • Collaborate with internal teams using a PM tool for intake, tracking, and workflow

  • Empower junior AMs by modelling strong client handling and proactive problem-solving

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A seasoned Account Manager with strong project management skills and deep agency roots

  • Someone who’s client-facing and can walk into a room and immediately instil confidence

  • Highly organized, with strong instincts for timing, delivery, and prioritization

  • Able to manage feedback and pushback from senior client stakeholders with tact and clarity

  • Comfortable leading meetings, presenting creative work, and rallying internal teams

  • Experience in retail is required 

  • Print and digital production knowledge is essential
