Our agency client is looking for an Account Manager to join their team.

The Account Manager will be the acting liaison between the agency and their clients. This individual will oversee the agency-client relationship, determining clients’ needs—what they’re looking to achieve short-term and long-term—and ensuring the agency delivers. This individual will have exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. They are resourceful, analytical, adaptable and have the ability to build rapport with clients. Reporting to the Creative Director and working alongside the Art Director, the Account Manager will oversee the client relationships in addition to managing individual client projects successfully, ensuring the work is completed on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients to understand their project goals and requirements while articulating service value
  • Building and sustaining relationships with clients based on trust and respect
  • Establishing and managing project scope appropriately
  • Developing client SOW’s ensuring project and budget accuracy for client sign-off
  • Developing Workback’s and assigning tasks and responsibilities
  • Scheduling and hosting a project kickoff meeting, along with frequent check-ins
  • Collaborating with the internal team, freelancers, and vendors to successfully facilitate client need fulfillment
  • Streamlining communication between internal team members
  • Monitoring project progress and clearing roadblocks when necessary
  • Double-checking all project deliverables for accuracy
  • Providing progress updates to clients (in person, via phone, email or video call)
  • Delivering the final project and summary to the client
  • Resolving client retention issues and preventing additional issues by improving processes
  • Acting as a client advocate with a focus on improving the client experience in order to retain and grow business

Duties and Functions

  • Ability to create a comprehensive and clear brief based on information provided by client and/or internal team
  • High attention to detail and ability to proof work to ensure accuracy 
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively, under pressure, and in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight timelines
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, communications, marketing or related field
  • More education or experience may be preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
  • Understanding of consumer behaviours and industry trends
  • Proficient in working within a SaaS environment (i.e., Google Workspace)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite an asset
  • Agency-side experience is an asset
