Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Art Director to lead the omni-channel vision for a key retail client of ours. This is a remote, 6+ month contract, that will require you to be on set for all of their photoshoots (predominantly in the GTA). The Art Director will be responsible for establishing and maintaining brand consistency across all channels by directing photoshoots, ideating campaign ideas with seasonal artistic vision, and presenting concepts to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative leadership, visual storytelling, and retail branding.


  • Develop and champion practical seasonal style guides to drive brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
  • Design and present concepts that fulfill project brief objectives, and present them to stakeholders for feedback and approval. Make necessary updates based on stakeholder input.
  • Work with key stakeholders and outside agency partners to set the direction for seasonal photography (both on-figure and off-figure) and asset templates
  • Communicate and maintain the seasonal creative vision with internal studios and external partners, ensuring alignment and consistency.
  • Brief agencies and photographers on the seasonal photography direction, ensuring all parties are aligned with the creative vision.
  • Attend and art direct photoshoots to capture the seasonal look and feel, ensuring all assets can be leveraged for digital and in-store channels.
  • Collaborate with videographers to ideate, storyboard, and capture video content.
  • Oversee the consistency of all creative assets to ensure the brand remains fresh and relevant.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in conceptual development, providing innovative and creative solutions when new creative and campaign ideas are required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • 3+ years proven experience as an Art Director in the retail industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including seasonal campaigns, photography direction, and video content.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
  • Strong understanding of brand development, visual storytelling, and marketing principles.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
