Job Title: Bilingual Copywriter (English & Québécois French)

Client: Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Brand
Rate: $50–$60/hour
Hours: 15–25 hours per week
Engagement: Ongoing, consistent freelance work

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Bilingual Copywriter fluent in Québécois French to support ongoing digital marketing initiatives for a CPG brand. This role is ideal for a writer who can conceptualize and write English copy and then adapt it into culturally relevant, on-brand French copy for the Quebec market.

Projects will be conceptualized and written in English first, with the expectation that you’ll adapt — not directly translate — the content to ensure it resonates authentically in French.


Key Responsibilities

  • Adapt English-language marketing concepts into Québécois French

  • Write and refine copy for:

    • Digital ads

    • Marketing emails

    • Integrated digital marketing campaigns

  • Ensure tone, nuance, and cultural relevance for Quebec audiences

  • Collaborate with English-speaking stakeholders to clarify intent and messaging

  • Deliver polished, production-ready copy on a consistent cadence


Required Skills & Experience

  • Native-level fluency in Québécois French

  • Strong copywriting experience, ideally within CPG or consumer brands

  • Proven ability to adapt (not translate) English copy into culturally resonant French

  • Experience writing for digital marketing channels (ads, email, campaigns)

  • High attention to detail and brand voice consistency

  • Reliable availability for ongoing, part-time work (15–25 hrs/week)


Nice to Have

  • Experience working with bilingual or multilingual brands

  • Familiarity with Quebec advertising standards and best practices

  • Prior collaboration with English-speaking creative or marketing teams
