Job Title: Content Strategist (Contract)
Location: Remote, Canada EST 
Contract Length: 6 months (with high potential for extension)

Role Overview
We’re seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Content Strategist to develop and oversee content strategies that support growth marketing, SEO, and campaign priorities for our B2B tech client. Acting as a critical resource for both demand generation and product marketing, this role ensures messaging is consistent, campaigns are well-supported, and content drives measurable engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a content strategy across multiple campaigns (2–3 per quarter).

  • Map content to the customer journey from top-of-funnel to conversion.

  • Develop clear content briefs including goals, audience, campaign fit, and key messages.

  • Collaborate with campaign managers, product marketing, SMEs, and VP-level stakeholders.

  • Coordinate content production and deliverables across channels: blogs, social media, email, partner communities, guides, and reports.

  • Review and refine content to ensure alignment with brand voice, campaign goals, and funnel strategy.

  • Shift from ad-hoc content production to a sustained cadence that improves SEO and engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with brand, privacy, and governance standards.

  • Monitor content performance, provide insights, and iterate strategy accordingly.

Content Lifecycle Responsibilities

  1. Partner with campaign managers to align on goals.

  2. Define content strategy and create briefs.

  3. Commission content (internal team or freelance writers).

  4. Review, edit, and finalize deliverables.

  5. Distribute content across channels (social, email, community forums, etc.).

  6. Monitor results, optimize cadence, and iterate strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in content strategy, preferably in cybersecurity, technology, with exposure to managed service providers.  

  • Strong understanding of SEO, content performance metrics, and digital engagement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to adapt to different audiences.

  • Experience collaborating across demand generation, product marketing, and technical SMEs.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable working remotely across time zones.
