Copywriter (Contract)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Copywriter to support a large financial services client on a 6 month contract (full-time hours). This role is focused on conversion-driven copy and will play a key part in shaping high-performing marketing communications.

You will work closely with the digital communications team to craft persuasive, results-oriented messaging across multiple business lines and channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop persuasive and engaging copy across a range of marketing channels, including email campaigns, landing pages, social media, and digital advertising, with a strong focus on driving conversions
  • Translate complex financial products and services into clear, concise, and compelling language
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to tailor messaging for different audience segments
  • Partner with analytics teams to design and execute A/B tests, using data to continuously optimize performance
  • Apply SEO best practices to improve visibility while maintaining a conversion-first approach
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all touchpoints

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a copywriter, ideally within agencies and on financial clients
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conversion-focused work across digital channels
  • Solid understanding of direct response, CRM, and sales copy principles
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CMS platforms

    • 6-month contract 
  • Rate: Up to $65/hour 
  • Client: Large financial services organization
  • Hybrid: 2 days/week downtown
