Freelance Creative Director (TV Spot)
Rate: $90–$100/hour
Location: Remote (must be available to travel within Canada for shoot)
Timing: Concept development starting immediately; shoot scheduled for April
Overview
We’re looking for a Freelance Creative Director to lead concept development for an upcoming TV spot for a grocery retail client. This role will own the early concepting and working closely with our agency client to bring the vision to life.
Responsibilities

Develop 4–5 creative concepts for a TV commercial

Deliver storyboards and scripts for presentation and approval

Participate in occasional meetings leading up to the shoot (remote)

Attend and support a 3–4 day on-site shoot in Vancouver in April

Collaborate with producers and stakeholders to ensure creative alignment throughout production
Requirements

Proven experience as a Creative Director on TV or broadcast campaigns

Strong concept development, storytelling, and scriptwriting skills

Comfortable presenting ideas and incorporating feedback

Availability to travel to and attend the full shoot in Vancouver

Reliable availability during pre-production for key touchpoints
Nice to Have

Experience working with grocery, retail, or consumer brands

Background or passion for sports, particularly if reflected in prior work
