Position Overview:
We are seeking an Email Marketing Lead to join our retail client on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective email marketing campaigns to engage our client’s audience, drive conversions, and enhance brand loyalty. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our client’s email marketing strategies, managing their email database, and analyzing campaign performance to continuously improve results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Create compelling and targeted email campaigns, including promotional emails, newsletters, drip campaigns, and automated workflows.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of email campaign execution, from conceptualization and content creation to deployment and performance analysis.
  • Utilize their email marketing platform, Klavijio, to build and segment email lists, personalize content, and schedule campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and product teams, to ensure alignment of email marketing initiatives with overall marketing objectives and brand messaging.
  • Conduct A/B testing and optimization experiments to improve email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
  • Monitor email deliverability, spam complaints, and unsubscribe rates, implementing best practices to maintain a healthy email list and comply with relevant regulations (e.g., CASL, DMARC, etc.).
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in email marketing, and proactively recommend innovative strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Generate reports and analyze key metrics to track the success of email marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for future optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in email marketing tools, technologies, and regulations, ensuring compliance and optimal use of available resources.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in email marketing, with a track record of developing and executing successful campaigns.
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms, preferably Klavijo. 
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and deliverability optimization.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging email content.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., CASL, DMARC, etc.) governing email marketing practices.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in email marketing strategies.
