Executive Creative Director

Creative Niche has partnered exclusively with a growing Canadian agency, specializing within Marketing, PR and Social Impact. We are looking for an Executive Creative Director to help elevate and lead their creative vision. This is a high profile role, where you will oversee all creative direction, leading a talented team of over 30 creatives. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, executing, and driving innovative creative strategies that help to position the agency as a leader.
As the ECD, you will play a key role in client development and business growth by spearheading pitches, managing projects, and ensuring the delivery of award-winning work that helps to set industry benchmarks. You will inspire, motivate and foster an environment where creative talent thrives, and where collaboration across teams is paramount.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creative Leadership & Strategy

Develop and communicate a clear, compelling creative vision that aligns with client objectives and business goals

Drive creative direction across all platforms and mediums, including advertising, PR, social media, digital, OOH, websites and more

Oversee the quality and consistency of all creative deliverables

Stay ahead of trends in creative technologies and methodologies, and incorporate approaches to keep the agency’s work fresh and relevant
Team Leadership & Growth

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse and dynamic creative team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence

Manage hiring and talent development efforts to ensure the team has the skills and resources needed

Work closely with account management, strategy, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of creative ideas and client deliverables
Client Management & Business Development

Lead new business development efforts by conceptualizing and presenting creative ideas to prospective clients.

Own the pitch process, from strategy through presentation, and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers

Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with CMOs, senior leaders, and key client contacts, acting as a strategic advisor and guiding them through the creative process

Prioritize social impact and purpose-driven initiatives, ensuring that their creative work not only delivers business results but also has a positive, lasting influence on communities and society
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Extensive creative leadership experience; 10+ years in creative leadership roles with a track record of success managing large creative teams (20+ people)

A portfolio showcasing creative excellence and award winning campaigns and projects

Proven ability to lead new business pitches, sell ideas to high-level executives, and develop long-term relationships with clients

Background in either Copywriting or Art Direction

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas simply and persuasively in boardrooms and client meetings
