Graphic Designer, Digital (Retail)
Location: Hybrid, Toronto
Rate: $40–$45/hour
Duration: Full-time contract, potential to go full-time
Overview
We’re seeking a Digital Graphic Designer to support the development and execution of creative across our retail client’s digital and print channels. This role is ideal for someone who is both highly conceptual and execution-focused, with a strong understanding of brand, performance-driven design, and customer experience.
Responsibilities

Lead creative development across digital touchpoints including social media, email, and digital ads.

Design and execute print materials (working with existing assets and templated files).

Translate briefs into strong, on-brand creative concepts and executions

Develop seasonal and campaign-based creative aligned to retail initiatives

Ensure all work adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a high level of quality control

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to review briefs and incorporate feedback

Work with external vendors on production and technical execution as needed

Apply insights from campaigns and website performance to improve future work

Stay current with digital design trends and retail marketing best practices
Collaboration & Communication

Partner cross-functionally with marketing, content, and production teams

Act as a key point of contact for creative projects and timelines

Provide updates on project status and ensure deadlines are met
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally within retail or consumer-facing environments

Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual thinking and execution across digital and print
-
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, AfterEffects)

Experience designing dynamic visuals for email, social, and display ads

Understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, and production processes

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
