Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Instructional Designer to join our financial client’s Learning and Development team for a 3 month contract.The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality instructional materials and learning experiences. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker with expertise in adult learning theories, instructional design models, and e-learning development tools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong background in creating engaging and effective learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop instructional materials, including online courses, instructor-led training, job aids, and other learning resources.
  • Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning and performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive curricula and course materials that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Create storyboards, scripts, and outlines for instructional content.
  • Design and develop interactive e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements such as graphics, videos, and animations to enhance learning.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Work closely with the Learning and Development team to align projects with overall learning strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing instructional materials for various delivery methods (e.g., online, blended, instructor-led).
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and SMEs.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for learning and development.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
