Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Marketing & Communications Manager to lead our insurance client’s efforts in shaping their brand, engaging customers, and driving business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in  digital marketing, content creation, and traditional channels like events. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with business goals, while also managing day-to-day marketing operations. This is a hybrid role (2-3 days/week onsite) in Mississauga.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals, focusing on customer retention and brand visibility.
  • Manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across digital channels and events to generate leads, raise brand awareness, and promote our client’s insurance products. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure marketing efforts align with business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage two direct reports by overseeing their performance and mentoring them in areas of growth. 
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content, including website copy, email campaigns, social media posts, and presentation decks. 
  • Lead digital marketing efforts including social media and email marketing to drive traffic, generate leads, and optimize customer engagement.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of digital campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and manage customer engagement strategies including events and targeted communications that enhance customer experience.
  • Lead the development and execution of internal and external communications plans, including newsletters, corporate announcements, CEO messages, and employer brand content. 
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support lead generation efforts, leveraging marketing tools such as webinars, case studies, and presentation decks. 
  • Implement and manage CRM strategies to enhance segmentation and personalized marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus at insurance brokerage firms.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing multi-channel marketing strategies, including digital and traditional channels. 
  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills with a focus on clear, compelling communication.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO/SEM tools, CRM platforms, email marketing software).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on marketing performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
