Marketing Tech Operations Lead

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Tech Operations Lead to spearhead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our client’s marketing technology stack in a fast-paced B2C tech environment. This 3+ month full-time contract combines technical expertise, operational efficiency, and strategic insight to enhance customer engagement, drive campaign success, and ensure data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging marketing technology to deliver personalized experiences, has a deep understanding of B2C consumer behaviour, and thrives at the intersection of marketing, technology, and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, select, and implement marketing technologies that align with business goals.
- Maintain and optimize the marketing tech stack, including CRM, email marketing platforms, analytics tools, and customer data platforms (CDPs).
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of tools across channels and systems.
- Support the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns by configuring platforms, workflows, and automations.
- Develop processes for segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing to enhance campaign performance.
- Troubleshoot issues with tools or campaigns, providing technical solutions and process improvements.
- Manage customer data, ensuring accuracy, compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and usability for marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to create dashboards and reports that measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Drive insights by analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with marketing, product, engineering, and sales teams to align MarTech capabilities with business objectives.
- Act as the subject matter expert for marketing technology, educating teams on best practices and emerging trends.
- Stay informed about the latest marketing technologies, trends, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and customer engagement through technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, MarTech, or related roles, preferably in a B2C tech environment.
- Hands-on experience with marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling MarTech ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of data management, APIs, and system integrations.
- Proficiency in tools like SQL, HTML, or other marketing automation programming languages is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on driving actionable insights.
