Position Overview: 
We are seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to join our startup client and take the lead in managing compelling content that resonates with our client’s audience and drives their performance metrics forward. You will be responsible for defining and executing the voice of our D2C client across all channels with a high focus on paid media. You will lead the creation of engaging, persuasive, and brand-aligned copy that boosts click-through-rates, conversion rates, and reduces the cost per lead. In this role, you will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and leadership  to ensure consistent messaging and tone across all touchpoints. This is a full-time, permanent position, that requires someone to be in the downtown office 5 days/week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of high-quality paid media assets for a variety of channels, including Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
  • Build assets in a content library within Meta and Tiktok. 
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams to craft compelling narratives that align with business objectives and resonate with the target audience, while owning the copy side. 
  • Build the briefs, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high standards of creativity. 
  • Drive the content strategy by identifying key messaging opportunities and crafting stories that differentiate the client in the market.
  • Conduct market research and audience analysis to inform and refine copy strategies.
  • Edit and proofread copy to maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency in tone and style.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging content strategies to keep the brand’s voice fresh and relevant.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Performance Marketing Manager, Creative Lead, or Senior Copywriter with a paid media focus, preferably within a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates creative and strategic thinking.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of creatives, with a track record of fostering creativity and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, paid media, and content optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
