Senior Account Manager

Our client, a fun and dynamic Canadian advertising agency with offices in Vancouver, Toronto with plans to expand in Calgary is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Senior Account Director, the Senior Account Manager will need to bring a creative problem-solving mindset and detail-oriented focus to the table. Managing communication between the Clients and Internal Stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of deliverables, troubleshooting any issues efficiently as they arise. We are looking for someone ready to go the extra mile in ensuring events are executed with excellence and that the client’s vision is captured through the Account work.
Purpose of Role: The Senior Account Manager oversees the clients asks from the first brief, through the creative and production process, managing the timeline and ensuring the job is completed within budget until it completes the billing cycle.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Account Manager will play a key role on the Sports Marketing Team with focus on print Advertising projects & Event planning and management
Athlete Experience
•Creative Lead that includes: Advertising projects, event assets and partner creative templates and requests
•Elite Event Support: Manages internal briefings, budget builds, work back schedules + execution support (working closely with the Director of Sports and Sports Manager •Amplification Support: Manages internal briefs with digital team and works closely with digital team on execution support keeping all relevant internal stakeholders updated
•Athlete Kits, Production Assets, Prizing: Leads internal briefing with promo and production teams and execution support plus manages creative requirements
•Supports on budget tracking for their respective responsibilities
Shopper Marketing/In-Store
•Supports the Senior Account Director on client shopper marketing & in-store POS projects •POS & logistics production briefs to internal teams
•Managing studio briefs on creative & mock-ups
•Working closing with clients on budgets, creative and timelines
•Supporting on permanent tool development/solutions in working closely with our production team for the various brands and projects
•Managing client promo requests (gifts, prizing, internal giveaways, etc)
Additional Responsibilities include:
•Managing client promo requests (gifts, prizing, internal giveaways, etc)
•Client meeting support (mock-ups, meeting set-ups, logistics management with the greater team)
• Managing Digital Creative asks (digital banners, social creative, templates) & Video Production (internal sizzle videos, animation/VFX in working with our video partners)
•Experiential/Sampling or Trade Show support
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:
•Strong ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all relevant stakeholders, always ensuring clear and proactive communication
•Working closely with the internal team to manage the client timeline and budget; being proactive in calling out risks and managing issues as they arise
•Collaboration abilities to work with the different key stakeholders especially when problems arise
•Supporting the team on event execution-related items, and fostering best-in-class partnership relationships (attending applicable event briefing meetings, being available in the evenings and weekends as needed for the successful execution of these events)
•Ability to make thoughtful recommendations on how executing the client vision
•Ability to present confidently to large groups of partners in both virtual and in-person settings, effectively communicating the process and addressing any inquires
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•5 years + Advertising Agency experience required (print, POS, in-store experience considered a strong asset)
•Must have experience working with brand guidelines and have a working knowledge of the Creative process
•Brief writing experience and working knowledge of the Print production process
•2-3 years experience in event execution (sports event experience considered an asset)
•Sports Agency experience considered an asset
•Background as a current/former athlete and/or coach is an asset.
•Team-first mindset, demonstrating flexibility and understanding that work outside normal working hours will be required to meet team needs
•Post Secondary education in Events considered a strong asset
•Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate may need to travel up to 5 times a year and must hold a valid passport
•Class 5 Drivers License and access to a vehicle is mandatory
