Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly conceptual Senior Art Director to lead the creative exploration of our retail client’s range of marketing programs. You will collaborate closely with creative teams to ideate new ways of creating impactful and compelling assets across their various marketing, digital and creative channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interpreting business strategies into concept boards, mood boards, and the like. 


  • Take a consultative approach with the creative team and lead the exploratory process of various promotional initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall brand identity and marketing objectives.
  • Develop concepts and visual designs for email, social, web, print, and OOH. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, copywriters, and marketers to translate business requirements into compelling visual solutions.
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to designers and other team members to ensure the successful execution of design concepts and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Present concepts to internal stakeholders and defend the creative concepts you’ve come up with, based on the business strategies provided. 
  • Share industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital design and web development to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure momentum and a clear direction. 
  • Implement and oversee updated visual standards and style guidelines for the website, once the visuals have been approved. 
  • Work in 3 month sprints every 3 months, dedicating approx. 20 hrs/week. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Digital Art Director, Associate Creative Director, or Creative Director, with a strong portfolio showcasing your conceptual abilities. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.) and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and present, as well as defend, design concepts effectively.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy.
