Senior Director, Growth Marketing

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Director of Growth Marketing to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across all digital channels for our rapidly growing B2C client. This senior role will grow and lead a high-performing team to build data-driven campaigns and optimize performance marketing strategies that fuel sustainable growth. With a deep understanding of B2C marketing and a passion for scaling customer-centric programs, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and refining growth marketing initiatives across paid media, organic channels, and lifecycle marketing. This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in their downtown office).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the overarching growth marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention goals.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities across digital channels, including paid media, email marketing, social media, and affiliate marketing.
- Leverage A/B testing, customer data, and analytics to refine strategies and maximize ROI on campaigns.
- Lead performance marketing efforts, including PPC, display, retargeting, paid social, and mobile campaigns, ensuring optimal CAC and LTV ratios.
- Utilize advanced attribution models to optimize campaigns and efficiently allocate budgets across channels.
- Continuously analyze campaign performance, uncover insights, and refine strategies to improve performance and scalability.
- Develop targeted lifecycle marketing programs, including personalized email and SMS campaigns, to nurture leads, increase engagement, and boost retention.
- Implement segmented and automated marketing workflows to maximize customer loyalty and LTV.
- Collaborate with other teams to improve retention metrics through a seamless and engaging customer journey.
- Lead and mentor a marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and results.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Creative, and Analytics, to align growth initiatives with broader company goals.
- Define and monitor key growth metrics, reporting on performance and insights to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
- Implement data-driven analysis to uncover actionable insights, optimize strategies, and make informed budget allocation decisions.
- Leverage customer feedback, behaviour data, and competitive insights to refine targeting, messaging, and channel strategy.
- Foster a test-and-learn culture, driving innovative growth strategies and rapid experimentation across all channels.
- Stay on top of industry trends, new technologies, and emerging channels to drive forward-thinking marketing approaches.
- Identify and implement new growth channels and tactics that will drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and engagement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in growth marketing or digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a B2C environment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads), CRM systems, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and marketing automation platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to marketing and proven success optimizing CAC, LTV, and ROAS.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to dive into the tactical when necessary, and not just stay at the strategic level.
- Experience in a high-growth B2C company.
- Expertise in SEO, content marketing, and customer retention strategies.
- Familiarity with agile marketing practices and methodologies.
