Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Director, Marketing & Creative who will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing a comprehensive brand marketing strategy that will strengthen our client’s brand identity, enhance their Canadian market presence, and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of brand development, consumer behaviour, and market trends.

Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with our client’s overall business objectives and long-term vision.

  2. Brand Positioning: Define and refine our client’s brand positioning, ensuring it resonates with their target audiences and differentiates them in the marketplace.

  3. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing  marketing and creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  4. Brand Identity: Oversee the development and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and touchpoints.

  5. Consumer Insights: Utilize market research and consumer insights to identify opportunities, threats, and trends in the market, adjusting brand strategies accordingly.

  6. Campaign Development: Drive the creation of integrated marketing campaigns that tell the brand story effectively and engage target audiences across various platforms.

  7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and allocating resources efficiently.

  8. Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and negotiate partnerships and collaborations that enhance the brand’s visibility and credibility.

  9. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of brand marketing efforts, and regularly report on the results to senior management.

  10. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and offices, to ensure a unified brand message and consistent brand representation.

  11. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences to proactively adapt the brand strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in brand marketing, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing brand marketing strategies that have driven business growth.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and budget management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence cross-functional teams.
