Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office for the first month, then flexibility to work mainly remote)
About the Role
Our client, a boutique financial services firm, is looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role best suited for someone who loves writing, editing, and creating content that simplifies complex financial topics for clients and stakeholders.
You’ll be the go-to for content creation across multiple channels, working closely with subject matter experts and senior leaders to develop communications that are clear, client-focused, and aligned with brand voice. If you’re a strong writer who thrives in a collaborative yet entrepreneurial environment, this opportunity will let you own projects end-to-end and make a visible impact.
What You’ll Do

Research, write, and edit long- and short-form content including client communications, newsletters, website copy, social media posts, presentation decks, and thought leadership pieces.

Translate complex financial concepts (investments, retirement planning, tax/estate planning) into accessible, engaging, and client-friendly content.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to generate ideas and shape content that addresses client needs and interests.

Manage a content calendar and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality pieces across multiple channels.

Support the launch and ongoing management of their e-newsletters.

Coordinate with design and events teams to deliver marketing collateral and client-facing materials.

Edit and proof content for readability, flow, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice.

Contribute to content strategy discussions, ensuring quality over quantity and maintaining consistency across all platforms.
What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in marketing communications, content creation, or a related role.

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to craft professional, audience-focused content.

Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver independently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience juggling multiple requests and deadlines.

Familiarity with financial services or related professional industries is an asset, but not mandatory.

Experience working with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and project management tools is a plus.

A collaborative communicator who thrives in smaller, boutique-style team environments.
