Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Senior Social Content Producer to join our retail client’s dynamic team and elevate their social media presence and website. This is a full-time 3+ month contract with the intention to turn into a permanent role. The Senior Social Content Producer will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing engaging content across our social media platforms. This role requires a creative thinker with strong storytelling skills and a deep understanding of the food industry and social media trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in content production, social media strategy, and a passion for food. This role is 2-3 days/onsite in their Vaughan office. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce high-quality, engaging content for social media platforms including text, images, videos, and GIFs. 
  • Plan, script, and execute photo and video shoots, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and storytelling objectives.
  • Collaborate with in-store teams to showcase products, recipes, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement a comprehensive social media content strategy.
  • Plan and manage the social media content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting across all channels.
  • Build and nurture an online community by engaging with followers, influencers, and brand advocates.
  • Provide regular reports on content performance, engagement, and other key metrics, and use insights to optimize future content.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Experiment with new content formats and strategies to keep the audience engaged and attract new followers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and agencies to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.
  • Collaborate with influencers, partners, and external content creators to amplify reach and impact.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media content creation, preferably within the food industry.
  • Proven track record of managing social media accounts and producing engaging content.
  • Experience managing a website and updating content regularly (no development required)
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, AfterEffects, Adobe Premiere, Canva).
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Ability and willingness to straddle both strategy and execution. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with a passion for food service and culinary industry in general, and social media.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality content.
  • A car and can travel regularly to local stores in the GTA.
