Social Media Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Media Manager with a background in financial services to join our client for the next 1 year, on a full-time contract, with the potential to become a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a high volume of social media output, along with community strategies and initiatives, that align with our client’s goals, increase engagement with their target audience, and promote their services across various social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management:
- Create, curate, and manage high-quality content that resonates with our client’s target audience, including investors, prospective employees, and industry professionals.
- Work within a highly regulated industry and approvals process.
- Develop content calendars and manage the daily posting and scheduling of social media content.

Engagement and Community Management:
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, clients, and potential leads on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Build and nurture relationships with key influencers and thought leaders in the asset management space.
- Manage online communities and community initiatives to ensure positive interactions and promote brand advocacy.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Provide regular reports on social media activities, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize performance and reach.

Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all social media activities comply with industry regulations, legal guidelines, and company policies.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to manage risks associated with social media communications.

Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and corporate affairs, to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years in the financial services or asset management industry.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of asset management and financial services, including industry-specific terminology.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a professional audience.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and native analytics platforms.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in financial marketing and social media.
