Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our retail client on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role with 2 days/week in their Mississauga office. As their Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, and increase sales for our client’s stores across various social media platforms.   • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with brand objectives, target audience demographics, and industry trends. Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and boost sales through social media channels.
  • Create high-quality, engaging content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and others. Develop a content calendar, plan creative campaigns, and produce visually appealing images, videos, graphics, and captions that resonate with our target audience.
  • Build and nurture relationships with our social media followers, influencers, and brand advocates. Monitor comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms, respond to inquiries, address concerns, and engage with users to foster a positive brand image and customer loyalty.
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers, bloggers, and content creators to amplify brand reach and engagement. Develop partnerships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate influencer campaigns to showcase our products and promotions to their audiences effectively.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns to drive traffic, conversions, and revenue. Utilize targeting options, ad formats, and retargeting strategies to maximize ROI and achieve campaign objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and KPIs for social media campaigns and content. Track engagement rates, follower growth, website referrals, and sales conversions to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry best practices. Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, e-commerce, product development, and category management, to align social media initiatives with overall marketing goals and business objectives. Coordinate social media promotions, product launches, and marketing campaigns to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for content creation, community management, and paid advertising.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms, such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics, or Facebook Ads Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design, photography, and visual storytelling.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize social media performance.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Passion for retail, fashion, and consumer trends, with a finger on the pulse of the latest social media trends and innovations.
