We are working with our agency client on a new search for a Sr. Full Stack WordPress Developer. Our client is one of Canada’s fastest growing digital marketing agencies, focusing on lead generation for their clients. They have scaled from 10-50 employees in just two years so it’s a very exciting time to be joining their team! 

As the Sr. Developer, you will own all aspects of building internally-owned landing pages and microsites. This includes design, development and ongoing support. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development of WordPress Landing pages and microsites using Advanced Custom Fields Pro and Contact Form 7, with hidden fields for data capture
  • Create engaging landing page designs to drive leads based on details from the Paid Search team
  • Creation of new WordPress accounts for client onboarding, and setting up the backend
  • Ensure landing pages follow best-practices (Title tags, URL structure, meta descriptions, heading structure, content visualization, page speed, usability, etc.) using global elements, dynamic location insertion and dynamic content insertion for efficiency where possible
  • Ongoing maintenance & QA of WordPress backend
  • Setup of the hosting environment on GoDaddy for staging sites, ensuring all site files are added and organized effectively
  • Documentation of standardized development process
  • Correspond wth PPC team on proposed changes, updates, and new developments for PPC landing pages in Asana & Slack
  • Support on custom API integrations between systems

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end and back-end WordPress development, agency setting preferred
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, PHP & Javascript
  • Strong knowledge in responsive development principles
  • Expertise in WordPress Plugins, Advanced Custom Fields Pro, Contact Form, Yoast, etc. 
  • Proficient in creating clear, detailed documentation and SOPs for development processes and troubleshooting
  • Preferred experience using Figma for design mock-ups
