This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment and enjoys owning the full brand and product marketing mix from strategy to in-market activation.

Reporting into the Canadian executive team, this role will shape how multiple established brands show up in the Canadian market, drive growth, and strengthen long-term brand equity.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Own the overall brand strategy for a portfolio of established consumer brands in Canada.

  • Translate core brand platforms into compelling, differentiated messaging that resonates with consumers and drives action.

  • Develop annual and long-range brand and category plans aligned to business goals, financial targets, and market share growth.

  • Set priorities across brands and channels, ensuring marketing efforts are focused, cohesive, and future-facing.

Advertising & Communications

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated 360 marketing campaigns across traditional, digital, and retail.

  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality creative, messaging, and point-of-sale materials.

  • Ensure all marketing investments are delivering strong ROI, with disciplined budget management and performance tracking.

  • Align agencies, media partners, and suppliers around shared brand goals and performance expectations.

Retail & In-store Merchandising

  • Oversee the planning and execution of in-store marketing programs, including POS materials, selling tools, promotions, and retail training assets.

  • Lead in-store initiatives tied to national campaigns and new product launches.

  • Own merchandising budgets, expense controls, and compliance with internal audit requirements.

Product & Portfolio Leadership

  • Identify new product opportunities through consumer insights, sales feedback, retailer input, and market analysis.

  • Partner closely with product development teams to evaluate concepts, prioritize opportunities, and bring new products to market.

  • Shape product roadmaps, launch timelines, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Monitor competitive activity, inventory planning, and lifecycle management to maximize profitability and minimize risk.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Lead and develop a team of direct and indirect reports, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Set clear priorities, goals, and resource plans for the marketing function.

  • Work closely with sales, product, operations, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and execution excellence.

  • Build strong relationships with external partners, retailers, and internal stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven senior marketing leader with a min of 5-8+ years of experience in brand management, marketing strategy, and people leadership.

  • Strategic and hands-on, comfortable setting vision while rolling up your sleeves in a lean environment.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator who can influence across functions and levels.

  • Experienced in managing agencies, budgets, and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Consumer products or retail experience is a strong advantage.

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and business intelligence tools is an asset.
