We are working with an award winning US agency to help them build out their new Toronto office. As one of the first two hires, the Sr. Producer / Executive Producer will be responsible for working on both Canada and US clients, producing content across multiple platforms including digital, broadcast, social and more. We are looking for someone who can lead projects from concept to completion, managing client relationships and ensuring the smooth execution of high-profile campaigns. This position requires regular travel to the US for production shoots, client meetings and team collaboration. 

This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and a deep understanding of the production landscape. You will have a hands-on approach to project management, from initial client meetings to post-production.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the production process for Canadian and US clients, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is executed seamlessly and with high production value
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and production schedules, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Travel frequently to the U.S. for client meetings, production shoots, and on-set oversight 
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop strategies, pitches and content concepts that align with client goals and brand identity
  • Oversee the coordination and hiring of crew, talent and vendors
  • Identify potential production challenges and work proactively to address and resolve issues, ensuring smooth operations on set
  • Maintain a strong network of industry professionals, including directors, DPs, editors, sound designers, and vendors
  • Review and approve creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and edits to ensure they align with client expectations and the overall vision of the project

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years experience in production, with a proven track record in leadership roles
  • Strong experience managing large-scale and small-scale productions
  • Deep knowledge of the production process, from pre-production planning through to post-production delivery
  • Experience working with high-profile clients and managing complex, multi-facetd projects
  • Exceptional organizational and tie management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and allocate resources effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, nimble environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Must be willing to travel frequently to the US 
  • Passion for storytelling and creativity in the production space
