We are working with one of Toronto’s hottest social/content agencies on a search for a new Strategist! As a pivotal member of the strategic performance department and internal client teams, this person will be responsible for shaping and executing robust strategies that drive measurable success for their clients across social media and content. You will own the health and performance of multiple accounts, helping their clients’ brands to achieve KPIs and evolve into best-in-class, social-first entities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the development and execution of data-driven, social first strategies that deliver measurable results across campaigns
  • Client Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting comprehensive strategies, performance insights, and actionable recommendations to help enhance campaign effectiveness
  • Content Strategy & Oversight: Work cross-functionally with teams across creative and analytics, overseeing the development of social content strategies and ensuring alignment with brand objectives
  • Community Management: Provide strategic direction to the Community Managers on engagement tactics; brand messaging, comments, DMs, outbound communication
  • Performance Monitoring: Lead the tracking and analytics of social media metrics, working closely with the data and analytics team 
  • Trend Spotting: Being a true social expert, always staying on top of trends and cultural shifts to inform strategy
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and community managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning
  • Client Growth: Identify opportunities for clients to expand their initiatives, improve performance and explore new strategic avenues to drive growth and strengthen partnerships

Qualifications: 

  • Strong communicator, the ability to present strategies to clients clearly and with intent 
  • A natural storyteller
  • 4+ years of experience in paid social and strategy
  • Deep understanding of social media, creative operations and client management
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, able to grow into a leadership role 
  • Passionate about digital marketing and staying current with social media trends
  • Analytics mindset and the ability to use data to drive strategy
