We are seeking a strategic VP, Group Account Director to lead an account services team and drive exceptional client success across a diverse portfolio. This is a senior leadership role in their Edmonton office, requiring deep advertising expertise and a proven track record of overseeing integrated, 360-degree campaigns. 

You will be a key player in shaping the agency’s client partnerships, financial performance, and new business success – ensuring the work not only meets creative excellence, but also delivers measurable business impact. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Leadership and Team Oversight: Lead and inspire a team of Group Account Directors, an Account Director, Account Supervisor and Account Executives. Ensuring seamless cross-functional coordination between creative, strategy, media and production teams 
  • Client Relationship: Act as the senior strategic partner and point of escalation for key clients; building long-term, trusted relationships and identify growth opportunities for clients’ businesses
  • Business & Financial Management: Maintain and grow the financial health of multiple accounts, including forecasting, staffing, scoping and profitability management. Overseeing contract negotiations, retainers and fee structures in partnership with finance and executive leadership
  • Integrated Marketing and Campaign Oversight: Guide the development and execution of fully integrated, 360 advertising campaigns across traditional, digital, social, print, and emerging platforms
  • New Business & Pitch Leadership: Lead pitches and RFP responses; collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to develop compelling, winning presentations

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of proven experience in an account management within a creative, full-service, or integrated advertising agency
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing teams, and managing multi-million dollar client portfolios 
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of profitable account growth and budget management
  • Passion for creativity and driving forward strategic solutions
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leading successful new business efforts
