Web Content Specialist – CMS Migration (3+ Month Contract)
35 hours per week | Remote
We’re seeking an experienced Web Content Specialist to support a large-scale CMS migration project, moving content from our client’s current website to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This is a hands-on role suited for someone who has previously driven or supported complex migrations and understands how to balance accuracy, efficiency, and SEO best practices.
About the Role
The planning phase is complete, and the project is now in full migration mode — moving approximately 300 web pages of content, including text, imagery, and metadata. You’ll work closely with the Digital Manager and a small team of specialists to ensure every page is migrated, validated, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities
-
Execute and manage the migration of website content to AEM.
-
Migrate and format text, images, and components within established templates.
-
Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure proper formatting, functionality, and accessibility.
-
Apply SEO best practices during migration to enhance search visibility and site performance.
-
Collaborate with digital, content, and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
-
Validate and test pages to ensure all links, assets, and metadata are functioning correctly.
What We’re Looking For
-
Proven experience leading or executing a CMS migration (AEM experience strongly preferred).
-
Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and content consistency.
-
Working knowledge of SEO principles and web publishing standards.
-
Familiarity with HTML, metadata tagging, and web QA processes.
-
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a fast-moving digital environment.
This is a remote, full-time contract (35 hours per week) for an initial 3+ month term, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a major enterprise migration initiative.
